I am so excited to finally be able to share the photos from our big day! This blog post will include a few details and plenty of photos from my wedding day! I will be writing a follow up post that highlights the ways I kept our wedding sustainable and eco-friendly, so leave any questions you have in regards to sustainability (or wedding in general) down below!
For those who would like a bit of a back story, Alex and I started dating right after I graduated from college, and had moved to Arizona full-time to work for my University. We had mutual friends, and our relationship started out with group outings to go two-stepping at country bars. He swept me off my feet (sometimes literally), and we started dating shortly after we met. I fell for him hard and fast. I couldn’t believe how loving, kind, fun, and supportive he was of me. I had experienced unhealthy relationships in my past, so to find someone who loved me in a way that seemed too good to be true was and still is the biggest blessing I’ve ever received. He truly makes life so rich, and I loved being his girlfriend and love being his wife even more! We’ve been together for a little over two years now, and while marriage has definitely brought new challenges, we’ve grown a lot as a couple and I look forward to growing even closer together and in the Lord.
Each and every one of our vendors did an amazing job! Having a wedding coordinator to help us with the entire process was amazing, and I don’t know how I would have done it without her!
Venue| We got married at the Sentinel Hotel in Portland, Oregon (where I’m from and where all my family lives). It was a beautiful, classic, and timeless venue!

The night before the wedding I was a nervous wreck, but an incredible wave of calm came over me the morning of, and I felt completely at peace the whole day!
My favorite part of the whole day was when we took a town car just the two of us and our photographer to get outdoors and take a few photos. The weather was perfect, and it was completely magical strolling along and taking photos in this amazing Oregon park!
Our very best friends in the world! Alex and I are lucky to call these people our dearest friends. Alex has twin siblings who are twenty years younger than him, so naturally they made the perfect flower girl and ring bearer!
Our ceremony was preformed by a dear family friend, whose children I babysat starting at the age of 12! We wanted our ceremony to reflect how good God is, and how grateful we were to have found each other.
I walked into our reception and couldn’t believe my eyes- it was breathtaking! Our vendors did an incredible job, and our wedding coordinator brought everything together to look even more beautiful than I had imagined. We had a blast eating, drinking, and dancing the night away (even though the AC broke… which is why I haven’t included too many of our sweaty yet hilarious dancing photos)!
