Alright, I’ll admit- I love my blacks, whites, and grays. However, since I began my journey of shopping ethical and sustainable fashion, I've gained a sudden affinity towards colorful pieces of clothing.
I believe this is for two reasons:
- Many ethical clothing companies incorporate the culture and styles of the countries in which their clothing is made in. These countries tend to use brighter and more colorful palletes.
- I want more color in my life, because as Kristina from the bachelor put it; “My life is now in color!"
I definitely don't have a particularly colorful wardrobe, but I’ve been trying my best to step outside of my comfort zone and add in some statement pieces that are bold, yet versatile.
I picked up this skirt at Poor Little Rich Girl (if you’ve read any of my posts so far you’ll see this as no surprise), and paired it with simpler pieces to make it really stand out. I’ve been loving mid-length skirts and dresses recently. They are comfortable, flirty, fun, and perfect in all seasons!
Now, let’s talk about this tank from Eileen Fisher. I think I’m in love… with linen! The fabric is light, breathable, and forgiving in the sense that it can be “wrinkled” and look like it’s supposed to be. I am always on the lookout for the perfect white tank or T, and I think I've finally found it!
I paired this outfit with my favorite simple necklace and bracelet from Noonday, and my birkenstocks.
